A relationship atlas, not a country ranking
The World, Connected maps how one country relates to another, how that posture changes over time and which evidence supports each change.
What the atlas is for
Most geopolitical dashboards describe countries in isolation. This project treats the central object as a directed relationship: Spain → Morocco, China → India or Ukraine → Russia in a particular year. Direction matters because policy, dependence, threat perception and diplomatic posture can be asymmetric.
What a score means
A score is a reproducible analytical assessment derived from published rules and dated evidence. It is not a statement of national character, an objective measure of friendship, a public-opinion poll or a prediction. Small differences should not be read as a league table: gaps below five points are treated as practical ties.
Product principles
- Directional by design. A → B and B → A remain separate calculations.
- Evidence before arithmetic. Every non-zero qualitative factor must point to a visible source and frozen rule.
- Missing is not neutral. Unavailable evidence is disclosed rather than converted into zero.
- Uncertainty stays visible. Confidence, evidence quality and sensitivity accompany the score.
- Corrections remain auditable. Evidence can be updated without retrospectively tuning the model to a preferred result.
